How a project works
- Call or WhatsApp us. Tell us about the property and what you want done. Photos help.
- Site survey. We visit, measure and go through what you want from the space.
- Design and estimate. You get the design and a written scope with the estimate, so you can see what is included and what is not.
- Approvals. We prepare what your building, your community and the authorities ask for before work starts.
- Works and handover. Our team does the work, checks it against the agreed scope with you, and hands the space back.
Approvals, handled
Small cosmetic jobs, such as painting or changing light fittings, usually need no permit. Work that changes walls, ceilings, partitions, flooring in larger units, electrics or plumbing needs approval before it starts.
Which authority approves the work depends on where the property is: Dubai Municipality, the Dubai Development Authority, Trakhees or the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority.
In a jointly owned building, changes to the structure, the outside appearance or the common parts need the approval of the master developer, the Dubai Land Department and the competent authority. Your building's management company also sets its own rules for works, contractor access and working hours. We apply for whatever your building requires.
Our guide to renovation permits and approvals in Dubai goes through each case.
How your estimate works
We don't publish a price list, because two flats in the same tower can need very different work. Your estimate comes from three things.
Size and layout
The floor area, how many rooms are involved, and whether any walls move.
Scope of work
A refresh, one room or a full renovation, plus any electrical, plumbing or AC work.
Finishes and materials
The floors, tiles, joinery, fittings and appliances you pick.
Answer the three questions below and we will start your free estimate from your answers. If you want the detail first, read how renovation costs are worked out.

Frequently asked questions
Is REDO a licensed renovation company, and how can I check?
Yes. REDO is the trading name of CONNECT SERVICES MIDDLE EAST L.L.C, licensed by Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism as DET 751468. You can look the licence up on the DET licence search. Check the trade licence of any contractor before you sign, not just ours.
What should I check before choosing a renovation company in Dubai?
Four things. Is the trade licence valid? Will they give you a written scope and estimate? Who applies for the approvals? What warranty comes with the work? A company worth hiring answers all four before work starts.
Do you renovate both homes and offices?
Yes. We have finished 150+ residential and 50+ commercial projects: villas, townhouses, apartments and offices.
Which areas of Dubai do you cover?
We work across Dubai, including Emirates Hills, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah, Dubai Hills Estate, Arabian Ranches, The Meadows, Jumeirah Golf Estates, DAMAC Hills, Downtown Dubai, Dubai Marina, Business Bay and JVC.
Who handles the permits and approvals?
That depends on where the property is. Dubai Municipality, the Dubai Development Authority, Trakhees or the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority may approve the work, and your building or community can have its own rules on top. We tell you what your project needs and apply for whatever your building requires.
How is the price of a renovation worked out?
Size, scope and finishes set the price. We visit, agree the scope with you, then send a written estimate. The estimate is free. Our cost guide explains each factor in more detail.
How long does a renovation take?
It depends on the scope. As a guide, a kitchen takes 2–6 weeks, a bathroom 1–3 weeks and an apartment 2 weeks–3 months. Villas and offices vary too much for a general answer, so we give you a programme with the estimate.
What warranty do you give?
We give a 1-year warranty on key installations.
